Cultivate Farming Photography Competition Terms & Conditions
- Photograph must have been taken on the island of Ireland (including off coast and on offshore islands).
- Entries must be submitted via the designated form. The closing date for entries is September 30th 2026.
- Photographs should not have people’s faces, brands, logos or identifiable numbers such as car registrations in them.
- Photographs for this competition must have been taken in adherence to any government restrictions, regulations and guidelines in relation to Covid 19 pandemic (including travel restrictions) applicable at the time of taking the photograph.
- Photographs for this competition must also have been taken in adherence to any applicable legal requirements. Without limitation to the foregoing, if your photograph depicts a legally protected species and was taken at or near that species’ breeding site, you must provide details of the required licence issued to you by the National Parks and Wildlife Service or your entry will not be considered.
- Your photograph must not previously have been submitted to any photographic competition.
- The competition is open to everyone aged 18 years and older.
- By submitting an entry, you grant Cultivate the non-exclusive right to reproduce, make available and publish your photograph, free of charge or restriction, in both digital and printed formats, on television, online, in news and publicity articles and in promotional materials, as well as in public exhibitions and in any media worldwide now known or later developed in perpetuity (“the licence”). Winning photos will be featured in the Cultivate Farming Photography Competition Calendar, distributed by participating Cultivate Credit Unions in Ireland.
- By submitting an entry, you accept our terms and conditions and acknowledge that Cultivate can use the images for marketing purposes indefinitely, i.e with no expiry date.
- Copyright in the photograph remains with the original copyright holder (the photographer) subject to the foregoing licence granted to Cultivate.
- By submitting an entry, you undertake and warrant that you are the sole and exclusive owner of the copyright and all other rights in the photograph and that it has not previously been submitted to any photographic competition. You agree to indemnify Cultivate, and/or their partners, staff and the competition judges from any injury, loss of damage which results from their use and/or reproduction and/or making available and/or publication of your photograph.
- IFAC will receive the photo entries and therefore operate as data controller for Cultivate Farming Photography Competition. They will share the material with Cultivate Credit Unions and with the public by way of marketing campaigns.
- We encourage you to use the highest possible resolution jpeg image to a maximum size of 20MB.
- For each calendar year competition, there will be 12 winners chosen by a panel of judges within Cultivate and Collaborative Finance.
- Cultivate does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any death, injury or other damage, loss, expense or liability arising as a result of your participation in the competition.
- This competition is not open to staff of Collaborative Finance or Cultivate credit unions (be they employees or contractors) or their immediate family members. For these purposes an “immediate family member” includes a spouse, partner, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, parent, stepparent or legal guardian
- All competition entries must be received by Cultivate in the required format before the advertised closing date. Neither Cultivate nor its affiliated entities are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any materials relating to Cultivate promotions; fraudulent, lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or altered entries; or entries which are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or other technical malfunction.
- Cultivate reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this competition and/or vary competition rules at any time without prior notice and Cultivate’s decision as regards exercise of such rights shall be final.
- Cultivate may in Cultivate’s discretion disqualify any person or photo entry found to be in disregard of these rules and Cultivate’s decision as regards disqualification shall be final.
- Participation in this competition denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions which may be advertised or notified by Cultivate.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of the competition, the decision of Cultivate will be final.
